It’s the most spooktacular time of the year. Take a look at all the Halloween themed events taking place from Aspen to Glenwood Springs and beyond. From kid friendly community events to 21+ late night parties, there is something freakishly festive for everyone looking to celebrate All Hallows' Eve.

ASPEN

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26

The Halloween Book Club at Pitkin County Library
This spooky evening starts with a walking tour at Ute Cemetery, followed by a Halloween potluck, book discussion, and more.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

Halloween DJ Spooktacular at Aspen Public House
No cover. Drink specials. Music by DJ Berkel Beats, Sublog, Lo_G, and Knuttybird. Saturday, October 27th AND Wednesday, October 31st!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31

Boo! Bash at Aspen Volunteer Fire Department
It's time for the annual Boo! BASH, Halloween celebration. October 31st at the Aspen Fire Station from 2:30pm-5:00pm. Free snacks, face painting, clowns, games, art activity and more. Come dressed in costumes for games and prizes (adults too) and join the festivities!

Halloween DJ Spooktacular at Aspen Public House
No cover. Drink specials. Music by DJ Berkel Beats, Sublog, Lo_G, and Knuttybird. Saturday, October 27th AND Wednesday, October 31st!

7908 Suffer Club: Benefiting Aspen Fire & Aspen Mountain Rescue
The 7908 Suffer Club Benefit for the Aspen Fire Department and Mountain Rescue Aspen. Full Night Tickets are $250: Includes food and drinks from 6-10pm, cash bar after 10pm. If you're not able to join for dinner, please consider donating a ticket to a Fire Fighter or Mountain Rescue Volunteer. Late Night Tickets are $25: Includes 1 Free Specialty Halloween Cocktail with admission, only available at the door after 10pm (based on availability).

Halloween with the Spazmatics at Belly Up
Celebrate Halloween with 80’s nerdcore band The Spazmatics at Belly Up Aspen. Don't forget to submit your costume in advance for the annual costume contest!

Halloween at Mi Chola

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30

Spooktacular Creepy Crafts at Anderson Ranch Arts Center
Free for all who dare! Anderson Ranch is excited to host the 4th Annual Spooktacular Creepy Crafts event for kids. Go decked out in your Halloween finest to create a spooky craft, go trick-or-treating through the artist studios and enjoy Halloween snacks and treats. Take part in the costume contest at 4:30pm in Schermer Meeting Hall, with awards for “Most Creative,” “Best Homemade Costume” and other fun!

Movie at the Library: Coraline
Head to the Basalt Library for Halloween Film Night featuring Coraline in 3D!

Halloween Party at Heather’s Savory Pies and Tapas
The party kicks off at 8pm and continues on through the bewitching hour! Featuring live music by Aspen 440, Witches’ Brew Special ($6), and a Costume Contest with prizes!


CARBONDALE

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27

Thrill The World Carbondale: Zombie Dance Event
Spectators and zombies are invited to be part of the international, worldwide synchronized dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Carbondale Branch Library.

Halloween Happening at Crystal River Elementary School
Head to CRES for food, games, bounce houses and more. Costumes encouraged. $12 for unlimited games wristband (individual tickets can also be purchased), food sold separately. Adult admission is free! This carnival is geared towards preschool and elementary school-aged kids. Students from all schools are welcome.

Fall Fest Party and MoonBoard Throwdown
Join Monkey House Carbondale for a fun evening of climbing, fun, food and drinks!

Halloween Themed Day at Smiling Goat Ranch

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30

Halloween Carnival at Roaring Fork High School
Bring your kids (and your cash) to check out the RFHS Halloween Carnival, which is planned and organized by the student clubs at RFHS. Support RFHS students by purchasing tickets to eat pizza, play games, get face paintings, and more! All proceeds go toward funding student clubs.


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31

Spooky Storytime at Carbondale Branch Library
Calling all ghouls and goblins! Head over to the Carbondale Branch Library for a morning of spooky stories, creepy crafts, and a trail of treats during a special Spooky Storytime. Costumes encouraged! This free event begins at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and will conclude with a costume parade around the library. It is open to all young children, and replaces the regularly scheduled Infant and Toddler Storytime on this date. For more information call the library at 970-963-2889.

KDNK Halloween Dance Party at Third Street Center
Doors open at 6 with KDNK DJs, games from Roots RX, and a photo booth by Aw Snap. Costume contest at 8pm with celebrity judges Amy Kimberly, Kat Rich, and Kristen Levey, plus prizes from Glenwood Caverns, Sopris Liquor & Wine, Carbondale Beer Works, and KDNK! At 9pm, don't miss globetrotting artist, author, and musician, DJ Spooky. Delicious dinner options from Wild Style. Adult beverages from Roaring Fork Beer Company, Ska Brewing, Denver Beer, Marble Distilling, and Black Bridge Winery. The event is 21 & up only.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2

Dia De Los Muertos at Third Street Center
Carbondale Arts brings the community together on First Friday, November 2nd, for the annual celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Festivities start at 5pm at the Third Street Center for altar viewing, face painting, Mexican hot chocolate, and traditional treats. An Afro-Latin Dance Performance and "Que Viva" will be held before the procession begins at 6:30pm. Bring your flashlights, candles, or glow sticks for the procession as it will be dark! Two performances of Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Folklorico take place at 7pm and again at 7:45pm at the Thunder River Theatre Company. Dance of the Sacred Fire will finish the evening off with a fire and aerial silk performance at 4th and Main starting at 8pm. All events are free to the public.

MCS Haunted House & Halloween Party
Hosted by 7th and 8th grade students this Haunted House & Halloween Party features a Tricky Tray basket raffle to help fund their school trip this year. Haunted House $8.00 in advance / $12.00 at door. Children must be accompanied by an adult (this is not your grandma's haunted house!). Party ticket includes SLOW GROOVIN BBQ sides & drink, pumpkin to decorate, crafts, apple pressing, caramel apple bar, sensory ally face painting and more! Tickets are $15.00 in advance / $20.00 at the door!

Haunted House at Glenwood Springs Mall
For a spooky thrill, head to the Glenwood Springs Mall. Fun for the whole family! Kid friendly tours are available upon request. Special pricing for kids ages 3-6 years. Proceeds benefit Glenwood Valley Athletics. Open every night, October 25-31.

Tin Skulls Kids’ Art Party at Glenwood Toys & Gifts
Art class for kids ages 6-12. $15.

Enchanted Castle Trick or Treat at CMC Spring Valley
Head to CMC Spring Valley from 4:00pm-8:00pm for a Family Friendly evening of safe, warm, fun trick or treating and carnival games for kids 10 years old and under (with parental supervision). Attendees will receive a list/map of the designated trick or treating rooms, and student volunteers will help guide the little goblins and ghouls through the Residence Hall to ensure their bags are full of candy! There will also be a small carnival (spider ring toss, pin the nose on the pumpkin, face painting, etc...) in the Residence Hall to be enjoyed by all!This event is open to community members and there is no cost to attend. Halloween fun and games at Glenwood Springs Healthcare! Bring your family and friends and spend time with the amazing residents at Glenwood Springs Healthcare. Enjoy games, prizes and trick or treating for the kids.

WIN Spooktacular Wine Walk and History Tour
Head to Hotel Colorado from 5:30 - 7:00 PM to grab a glass of wine, or your favorite after-hours drink (Dutch Treat), for a special evening W.I.N. SPOOKTACULAR Wine Walk & History Tour. Pumpkin Patch at Osage Gardens
Osage Garden's Pumpkin Patch is open Monday - Friday 11am - 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 9am - 5pm. Featuring a giant sandbox, fun family games, a fun straw-bale maze and tower plus lots of pumpkins to choose from! All activities are free, pumpkins sold by the pound.

Stop by the Silt Historical Park for Trick or Treating this Halloween. They will have all buildings open and will be handing out candy 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, October 31st. This is a FREE event, all ages welcome! Volunteers will be dressed in costume.

Family Fun Festival at Garfield County Fair Grounds
A Fun, Free and Safe Event! Bounce houses, games, cake walk, and lots and lots of candy! Sponsored by Rocky Mountain Baptist Church.

Trunk or Treat with Lyft Offroad
Lyft Offroad is hosting their first off-road vehicle themed Trunk or Treat! Bring your decorated off-road vehicle and treats to pass out.

Trick or Treat at Chateau Rifle
All kids invited to trick or treat from 6-8pm. Adult supervision required.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31 + THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1

Hall’s Haunted House
Head over to 1353 Dogwood Drive in Rifle for Hall’s Haunted House. Running 2 nights - Wed Oct 31st & Thur Nov 1st, with doors at 7pm each night. On Halloween day only, there is a special kid friendly opening from 2-5pm! At that time, there will be no scary actors and no effects. There will also be games, prizes and candy at the end! NEW THIS YEAR: The Kiddie Korner - If the kiddos are too scared to participate in the night shows, we are providing a section near the exit for them to color and play games. There will be adults and certified babysitters to supervise them while the adults enjoy a good scare! As always admission is FREE however donations are always appreciated!
