Claudette Carter ARTmentors Exhibition Opening
The Claudette Carter ARTmentors is a program for high school juniors who are considering a career in the arts. Mentees are paired with professional artist mentors who help them learn firsthand what it takes to become a working artist.

Oddville, A Love Story? at The Temporary

Paint The Town: Basalt's Color Run
Basalt High School’s National Honor Society presents the 4th annual Paint the Town: Basalt's Color Run - a 5K around historic Basalt! The run starts and ends at Arbaney Park.

The Power of Tools: John Bozza
Explore the creative process using a sense of humor and basic power and hand tools. Create a sculpture out of a 3 foot log by learning how to really see an object in order to recreate it. Play with scale and color and end with a final piece that evokes feelings and inspires conversation.

Second Saturday at the RFBC Brewery
Party outside on the patio or amongst the brew tanks with live music, food and of course beer. $20 ticket gets you everything! Live Music 1:30-3:30pm by Feeding Giants! All humans are welcome, please NO DOGS.

20th Annual Dandelion Day at Sopris Park
Come together as a community for a day of Spring Celebration. Featuring local non-profits, artists, farmers, food vendors, brewers and musicians. All in honor of Carbondale's beloved Town Flower: The Dandelion. Bring your family and friends and meet at 10am at the KDNK station (2nd and Main) to kick off the Parade of Species! Together, dressed as animals (real and imagined), and walk to Sopris Park.

How We Grow at the Crystal Theatre
On May 12th, after the Dandelion Days celebrations in Sopris Park, head over to the Crystal Theater for either of TWO screenings taking place at 5pm and 7pm, respectively. The screenings are FREE but space is limited so please arrive early.

Artist Reception with Jocelyn Audette
The opening reception for “Fryingpan River Reflections: Paintings by Jocelyn Audette” will be 6-8 p.m., May 11, at Morgridge Commons, 815 Cooper Ave., 2nd floor, Glenwood Springs. Yampah Mountain High School Plant Sale
The students of Yampah Mountain High School (YMHS) will be hosting their first Plant Sale fundraiser this Saturday from 10 am - Noon in the parking lot of YMHS at 695 Red Mountain Drive in Glenwood Springs. A variety of organically-grown vegetables, herb and flower (pollinator) starters including 3 varieties each of tomatoes and spicy peppers will be available with prices starting at $1.00. Participants have the option of learning hands-on transplanting and growing techniques from one of our student gardeners. Free organic seeds will also be available.

Treats for Trailblazers
The Rifle Animal Shelter has outgrown its home and is asking the community to join them in a capital campaign to build a new shelter. Come to the Glenwood Springs Library Plaza between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday May 12th and enjoy Rice Krispie Treats, meet shelter staff and adoptable dogs in the plaza, and win raffle prizes!
